I was born and raised in Montana and love spending time outdoors. I really enjoy hunting and fishing and can hardly wait until my daughter is old enough to experience her first hunting trip with her dad.But I fear the future of hunting is being jeopardized by the out-of-control wolf population. It is very disturbing to hear about another recent attack on livestock in Jordan. The whole state will be taken over by these predators, and hunting will be changed forever.
The Gardiner area, for instance, is where the wolves were reintroduced in the mid-1990s. Wolves lowered the number of elk in that area, and the quotas were reduced in that district, which, in turn, made it almost impossible for myself and others to hunt in that area of the state. This forced me to find new and more productive hunting ground that wasn't infested with these implanted, overgrown parasites.
