Sweden: Lynx shot after attacking horses. May 6, 2008

A lynx was shot after attacking horses close to Surahammar. It is extremely unusual that horses are attacked by lynx. These predators prefer the much smaller roe deer. There are approximately 1500 lynx in Sweden.
