Since I decided to go to NZ over Christmas it wasn't more then fair that I would do some hunting since I was over there as well.

My first weeks i worked on a farm in the north island where I shot a couple of feral goats, not really hard hunting but non the less a good way to spend som time. The hunt was carried out as stalking and the gun used was a .22 mag.

later on I came in touch with a really nice kiwi on the south island and he agreed to take me for a chamois hunt if we splitted the cost for a helicopter. food etc. The hunt took place in the southern alps and the sorruondings where just amazing. A one-and-a-half day later the hunt turned out to be no less then a complete succes. I managed to shoot a chamois and a pretty good 8-pointer red deer stag! the weapon I used was a .280 with 120 grs nosler ballistic tip, a combination proved lethal for every game that came in sight!
