Open season started in Russia this September. As of late specialists have noted a curious trend - the growing popularity of photo hunting as an alternative to conventional hunting. Could it be that our society is becoming more humane?
"My Son Would Understand"
Viktor Kosyakin, a 45-year old surgeon, developed a passion for hunting in his childhood. "I was 10 when father first took me on a hunting trip," he says. "I think that the beauty of hunting and its appeal lies in man's exposure to primordial reality. Like many other people, I live in cubic space: home, car, office, car, home. But when hunting, I am a wild man, one who brings home the meat. That makes me tick, giving me fresh force and energy, revitalizing me."
