Bears are hunted in the wild mountains in the central part of Croatia, between Bosnia and Slovenia. The hunt is done on the bait from fixed blinds, waiting for the bear during the full moon nights and the hunter shoots when the bear is on the bait after having been signalled by the gamekeeper. Bears in Croatia are very big, there is no problem to encounter a gold medal, over 300 points.
