In northern Sweden roe-deer hunting finishes on 31 December and in the rest of Sweden on 31 January. Certain provinces also permit hunting for bucks between 1 May and 15 June. Swedish bucks can produce magnificent trophies. The previous record was was held by a Swedish buck of 246.9 points, which was shot at Vittskövle in the south of Sweden.
