Red deer - a deer with a rich red-brown summer coat that turns dull brownish-grey in winter, the male having large branched antlers. It is native to North America, Eurasia, and North Africa.
The hunting area is a private reserve Babolcsa situated in the South of Hungary between the lake of Balaton and Pecs. It’s a plane with little woods and cultivated fields bordering the famous reserve of Labod, where the biggest European red deer come from. Last year, in the roaring season 2 red deer over 13 kg were harvested in this reserve. One trophy had 251 while the other 247 CIC points plus one of 15,1 kg.The accommodation is provided in a comfortable local hunting lodge, with a good restaurant. The hunt is done by stalking and by waiting during the roaring season.
